Sunday Sweets: Banana Yogurt Muffins

Description of Photo Description of Photo Is there anything better on a cold morning than a warm muffin? My kids don't think so. My freezer is always overflowing with overripe bananas so I figured, why not make a double batch of these and have hearty treats for a week?

What you'll need:
-3/4 c. sugar
-1/2 c. brown sugar
-2 TBSP unsalted butter, room temp.
-2 eggs, room temp.
-1/4 c. unsweetened applesauce
-3 ripe bananas, mashed
-1 c. plain yogurt
-1 tsp vanilla
-2 1/4 c. flour
-1 1/2 tsp baking soda
-1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
-1/4 tsp salt
-sprinkle of nutmeg

1. Preheat oven to 350*. Grease muffin pan.
2. Cream butter & sugars together.
3. Add eggs and beat.
4. Stir yogurt, applesauce, & vanilla into the butter mixture.
5. Sift together dry ingredients
6. Mix dry ingredients into the wet, being careful to not over mix.
7. Bake for 23 min or until toothpick comes out clean. Description of Photo We love to eat these warm with butter or cream cheese!
