What I Wore: Battery Steele

What I Wore: Battery SteeleWhat I Wore: Battery SteeleWhat I Wore: Battery SteeleThere is so much going on in these photos- it's kind of intense! Samantha and I knew that Battery Steele would be the perfect backdrop for style posts, so we made the trek one day to photograph a couple of outfits. If you've never been to Peaks Island or Battery Steele, you should definitely check it out! It was a gun battery built during WWII, and is now owned by a local preservation group. You can walk around (and through!) it. When we were younger it was terrifying to walk through because it's pitch black inside. Not to mention certain members of Samantha's family would go ahead of us, hide in the little rooms, and then jump out and scare us. I think that might have something to do with my dislike for horror movies. What I Wore: Battery SteeleI've never paired any of these items together before; it just came to me while I was planning my outfit the night before. I asked Sam if it was too much and she said that it was, in fact, BRILLIANT. So I went with it, and I have to say, I LOVE this outfit. The leopard print with the cut-outs on the dress and the floral tapestry heels- it's so much fun! It's a new favorite combination for sure. And somehow in these photos the chaos of the background just brings it all together. What I Wore: Battery SteeleOutfit details:
